Trend Alert: Preppy Is Back!!!

For all of the fashionistas who love vintage looks, according to ELLE magazine, the preppy look is back for fall 2012. I don't know if I can agree with ELLE magazine on this one. I really can't embrace the "Happy Days" era again; and really, there are only so many ways you can wear plaid and a Letterman's sweater! I did manage to save a couple of signature plaid pieces from last year, when the plaid era was predicted to be coming back with a vengeance; but needless to say, the only place that it was popular was on the runways. Just last year,Tory Burch presented her Autumn/Winter 2011- 12 Collection during New York Fashion Week and it was all about “English country" dressing, bold plaids, 70s Fashion, and bold colors. The collection was fabulous, but didn't seem to catch on with the Midwesterners. I believe that the industry insiders are trying to resurrect a fashion cadaver and disguise it as the next fashion innovative find. Let's see if the plaid and preppy look gets a second life this fashion cycle!
